How PlayXO works
Practise, play your ranked games, climb your division and qualify for championships. Your best ranked score of the day is the one that counts, and the leaderboard starts fresh every day.
Daily ranked attempts
You get a set number of ranked games each day, and only your best score counts. You can’t buy extra ranked games.
Fair divisions
You’re placed with about 100 players at a similar skill level in your league, so you play people like you.
Fresh every day
Leaderboards reset daily, so every day is a new chance at the Top 5.
Never lose a game to a dropped signal
If your connection drops, you can pick the same ranked game back up within a set time.

The road to the championship

Finish Top 5 in a qualifying event (daily, weekly or a special event) to earn your championship entry.
One entry each
You get one entry per championship. Qualifying again counts as an achievement, not an extra entry.
Advance in rounds
Play skill-based rounds in small groups. The top players in each group go through to the next round.

The last players standing play for the flagship prize. Results are verified before any prize is awarded.

Frequently asked questions
Is it skill or luck?
Skill. Both games score accuracy first and speed second, and the challenges are designed to be fair across devices. There are no random draws. Results come only from how well you play.
Who can play?
Adults aged 18 and over in South Africa. You sign up with your mobile number. Extra identity checks apply before purchases, prize claims and withdrawals.
How does ranking work?
You’re placed in a division of about 100 players at a similar skill level in your league. Your best ranked score each day counts, and the Top 5 at the end of a reward event win the published prizes.
How many games can I play?
As many practice games as you like. Ranked games are limited per day, and extra ranked games can’t be bought.
What if my connection drops mid-game?
You can pick the same ranked game back up within a set time. If you abandon it, it still counts as one of your daily attempts.
How do I get my winnings?
Airtime is sent to your phone. Cash prizes build up in your winnings balance, and you can withdraw them to your own verified bank or mobile wallet account whenever you choose. Winnings are kept separate from game credits.
